Title: My T1 deck this year (Watchful Abom)
Post by: Master Q on June 19, 2015, 12:46:19 PM
Since I don't foresee myself going to any more tournaments this year (the only one I've been to was the T2 only, lots of fun), I'll just post the deck that I planned to use at Regionals. Feel free to take this idea, comment, or what have you. I have played probably 1 T1 game this year, and that was with a totally different deck, so I don't even know how well this would've worked in an actual game. Maybe this will inspire some people for the bigger tournaments, but in any case, I wanted to post it so I would have something to point to and say, "Yep, I was going to play redemption that year. See?"

Love this deck.  I wanted to build a similar deck, except with Kidron Valley and the Joiada/Feast of Trumpets combo.  Kidron Valley can take out most of the WS counters I worry about, especially CWD.

I'd be curious to see how this deck does against an offensive heavy deck, if you can't get Abom out super early.

Awesome deck, Master Q. It's a shame you didn't get to play it more. Or maybe not, for your opponent's sake.

I played Abom for a while this year and can attest that it's really strong. I'm pretty sure it's won at least 3 state tournaments so far.
