This version of the deck managed to accumulate a 12-4 record. A Previous version of it that used green instead of white was 10-3. The deck was also 1-1 in multiplayer. It won both 2P and MP at PA states, and was 2-2 at NE Regionals, although niether game was lost due to the deck. One game was a against a priest offense that drew almost every drawing card in the deck first turn. He had gotten through half his deck 2 turns in, so it was just a matter of waiting a turn or two til I drew souls. In the other game, I lost to a Garden Tomb/Saducee build that had 4 lost souls left in the 10 undrawn cards of her deck.

Overall, this deck is clearly built for a quick game, with emphasis on combos that avoid drawn out enhancement wasting battles. If you win more than one block a game, my deck has failed. I added a few annoyance cards in here, such as UandT, mostly to cause my opponent to become worried and overthink things, although the intel I recieved from them proved invaluable in a lot of cases. I would definately keep Urim and Thummim in my deck if I was to keep playing it, even though it was only added just before Regionals.

Another add before Regionals was a recently opened Confusion of Mind. Previous to opening it, I had a Trembling Demon/Holy of Holies combo. I had already decided to drop Trembling Demon for Red Dragon for possible longevity, and since I didn't need any real FBTN counters for my offense, I decided to throw in Confusion of Mind in hopes of drawing a Destruction on it. I managed to get someone to discard two enhancements for it once. That was about the extent of it's effect on my games.

If I were to change this deck at all, I would probably drop Words of Encouragement and No Need for Spices for Prince of this World and Malchus. Gabe advised to drop the two white enhancements, but I decided against it in order to allow myself to attack even without Garden Tomb support. In the end however, I lost games not due to lack of attacking ability, but because I could not block other Garden Tombs and could not cause Lost Souls to appear well enough during droughts. Other than that, I think my deck is probably as good as it was going to get given the brigade combos and my card pool.

Any other thoughts?

I'd definitely keep holy of holies and trembling demon. I'd also consider putting in torment for an extra block. Also, Haman's plot works great on RTS, but if you play this at nationals, you're gonna have 8 games and you can only use it once.

I'm not goign to Nats, hence I posted it. I wouldn't post it if I was going to keep using it. I'm secretive like that.

Torment would probably be a decent add. If I felt like opening more Angel Wars to get it or paying 8 dollars for it. But I don't and didn't so I made due without it.

Holy of Holies and Trembling Demon did a lot more for me outside of my deck than in it. Holy of Holies shut down my transfiguration and Moses for the reward of 1 block. Red Dragon gives me a possiblity of multiple blocks at no expense.

I've ripped Haman's Plots at Nationals before and I'm sure I will again. It's a nuncommon. I can open enough of them in Patriarchs to justify me ripping it and shutting someone down when I get to top tables.

Okay, that's cool. I've always liked holy of holies (you don't have to activate it when you attack with transfiguration) and trembling demon. Also, most of the time you can ignore, so having an art that helps the blocking side isn't always bad.

Yes, I do have to have it active indefinately to use Trembling Demon, during which my Moses and Transfiguration are complete fluff in the deck. I don't like the idea of having two useless cards to stop 1 rescue attempt. It limits some of my better options at getting souls and makes me rely on only 1 option usually. It's always best to have multiple options.

Taking out the white enhancements notwithstanding, I think there's a valid case to take out Nero to add Prince of this World.

Nero can block Widow, but PotW can block TSA more effectively. Nero isn't stopped by 3 Nails, but Confusion of Mind played on PotW in battle is pretty much a block against banding chains like Tribal Elder/Jacob/Captain or Claudia/Simeon/Captain. People often expect to see Confusion of Mind as an artifact, so they aren't prepared when it hits them in battle.

I would also add a Hopper to this deck, being that you are offense heavy, you can't afford too many turns of not having a LS to go after (as it appears you learned the hard way unfortunately.)

Hopper is another card that's been in and out of this deck. I ended up playing without it and trusting The Amalekite's Slave as enough. It wasn't. I should have had either Malchus or the Hopper or both.

If I added a Prince, it would almost certainly be the Orange one. He helps my King of Tyrus block Garden Tomb Characters,

What good is PotW (or KoT for that matter) versus TGT band or John?

That has been brought up before, but by having those two I'd get out all the Joanna and Mary Magdalene RAs. Essentially limit the options the opponent has and thus allowing me to better predict his hand and other such things.

Fair enough; I haven't had much experience facing TGT decks nor with playing with such limited defense so I'll take your word for it.

It's not that much better than your proposed idea, but I just feel like it'd help more than one character/enhancement combo in such a small defense. Especially since when I draw Confusion of Mind, if I have any sort of hand issues (which is probably to happen in a fairly fast deck), I am just going to drop Confusion of Mind into my artifact pile anyway.
