Yeah it needs maybe 5 cards changed and then you have an awesome deck.  BTW Remove Preaching for TSA and your deck is better then.

I dont feel TSA or CotH are as good in todays overal meta with all the CBP EE running around like
Disbelieving Sadducees (Di)
Imprisoned (Di)
Tenants Kill the Son (Di)
Herod Agrippa II (TP)
Herod's Treachery (TP)
Image of Jealousy (TP)
and then all the CBN banding

just seems like CotH just doesnt get the job done now a days...
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

Online meta is diffrent than RL Clift. His meta may not have those cards running around.

Even so, would you really say TSA isn't as good as Kira, Eli, or Angel of Might?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

1) Great job at winning distric.

2) An option that people might have forgotten is that the playgroup there weren't expecting his deck.  When I first played T2, I won first not because my awesome deck building skills (which I have none of) but because the T2ers weren't expecting a shuffle/capture deck (and how mideval Nebby can be :) ).

Again, congrats on your win.

This deck is good, I think we should build others up not break them down. :)

Don't necropost, please. It clogs up the forums with old stuff.

I strongly disagree with that.  Please necropost all day long (as long as you have something worth saying).  Why is there a prejudice toward people and ideas that have been active in the last 2 days?

If he wants to contribute to the conversation in this thread would you seriously want him to start a whole new thread and then link to this one?  Thats seems less efficient and more clutter.

Or do you mean that he just shouldn't comment period?  Sorry that you're a new member and missed out on this and many others but since you weren't hear to say something at the time, we don't care what you have to say so shut up.  Why don't we just delete all threads after a week or two since we don't want anyone commenting on them ever?

P.S.  This is not personal against you Minion, and I'm not upset with you.  As I understand it you were just relaying board policy but it is a policy I have found increasingly aggravating.  It discriminates against new people and people that have busy lives and can't get on here every day or week.

I understand what you mean. I don't have anything against more recent posts, or things that are interesting. But nothing was really contributed to the conversation, and it's not from last week, but 3 years ago.

Yeah, I get that. Personally I wouldn't have made that comment and its not particularly deep or insightful or new but so what? I think joeychips is a new member and do we really want to discourage a new member from contributing?

Personal example here: I just saw a couple threads in the gameplay variations topic for the first time that I found interesting and I thought I could add something meaningful to the idea but they are from 9+ months ago.  The likely accusation of necroposting discourages me from bothering to post those ideas and what could have led to a better gameplay variation and sparked other peoples creativity now won't.

In other words, there are plenty of peoples posts that I personally find to have no value but I'm fine with that because I don't want them to shut up entirely and also miss out on their good ideas. People also don't learn how to improve their communication without practice which necessarily includes some pointless chatter and maybe it isn't pointless to someone else.  Maybe joeychips didn't need to make that comment but maybe it was encouraging to someone that needed it and that is contribution enough, imo.

As a side point, the gameplay variations section only had 17 threads in the last year and this topic (complete decks) only had 2 threads active in the past 7 months.  I find it hard to say it is clogging up the forum when there has been almost no activity.  In fact I'd say it is more ressurecting an area of the boards that is dead rather than necroposting.  Now if we were talking the ruling section that gets more activity and should be kept cleaned up more to help find rulings then thats different.

P.S. This is obviously not just about this post or thread for me.  I have been thinking this for a long time but just finally said something.

I get it. You make some good points. However, everyone might be too set in their ways to change now.
