Game 1
Joshua Hojas
5-1
Judges/Job Defense
I had a first turn AuTO by GWT by popping Wages for Treasures which I popped to get a first turn AuTO.
Game 2
Dario Villanueva
5-3
Judges, RBD and HSR slowed me down but the defense held.
Game 3
Kye Murphy
4-3 Time out
2 turns droughted at the start of the game. First turn music leader for Kye. One battle I triggered ML and GC 6 times because I had fallen so far behind on resources I figured it was time to go for it.
Game 4
Aiden S.
5-4
Job deck, 1st turn Job
Walked by for 2 and then only got SoG, TSC - Aiden played well but I was able to chump block enough times to make the comeback.
Game 5
John Early
4-4 Tie
Mirror offense
He had PoZ, prosperity, darkness, hSR turn 1 before I got to go
Game 6
Jay Chambers
5-2
Flood Survivors, I am Creator turn 1
He played ANB in a side battle and I drew into I am Creator off ANB. SoG, TSC were the only rescues.

Brian Jones and I worked on this deck together all year. We tried to improve upon the consistency of the deck based off my list from teams the year before.
Keynotes
- This deck list has not lost a game this year where I got to make a first turn rescue with Angel under the Oak. This is why I felt IaC and GWT where both necessary. More than once I used a soldiers prayer plus FA to pull off a first turn IaC for AutO. I also used Wages to get treasures and used treasures on nothing to trigger a first turn GWT.
- blind lost soul was a wasted slot. Being at the top table all day I only remember seeing a couple NT souls in total. I wish I had played Lawless instead.
-Wages of Sin for Elah proved extremely useful
-Serpent and Serpents Curse made blocks all year long and it was great in nationals as well.
-Raising Lazarus could only be pulled out by covenant of Prayer but if david, Abigail, ahimelek or asahel went down I wanted a way to recur them. With ASP I was able to recur 2 key heroes if necessary.
-I, like everyone else was unaware of the combo John and Gabe had worked out with King Jehu's discard not triggering until after Asahel choose the blocker resolved. I could have used that combo during the tournament but didn't because I assumed the discard of Jehu took place prior to the completion of Asahel's choose the blocker. John Early used that on me in the top cut game and I was astonished by the ruling. I will say John played some counters and souls to get those counters quickly which really gave him an advantage in the mirror match with me. I believe I can block more strong rescues then he can but he didnt have to block strong rescues because of the counters.
- Knowing the Jehu asahel combo now I would cut Bravery of David for sure. With that slot open I would also cut dream and make space for Abaddon and Gates of Hell. (This would probably also get Red Dragon and Fires of Abaddon into reserve)
- lurking is still super good and I probably should've been playing it.
- deluders was a boss all year and made CM and FA extremely consistent blocks all year.
