Curious question: when phase 2 is released will it just pick up number wise where phase 1 leaves off?

Several of the cards spoiled already have numbers, which go into the 200s.  So that would tell me that they are going to "fill in the holes" in the next set.

Nice!! But that will be a bit confusing on putting a set phase 1 together.

Is a Patriarch identifier being included on cards?
Patriarch is an identifier that's been used on all applicable characters as far back as the first FooF set. There wasn't anything that referenced the identifier until recently, but we continued to use it in CoW and again this year.

Curious question: when phase 2 is released will it just pick up number wise where phase 1 leaves off?

Yes and no. If you're going strictly by the numbers from phase 1 only packs it will be confusing. Phase 1 checklists as well as the final HD graphics will all be available as a point of reference to help determine the completeness of your phase 1 collection.

Having phase 1 and phase 2 is a short term thing. Long term there won't be phases, only Prophecies of Christ, a 222 card set. For that reason we decided it was best to number the entire set appropriately.

Finally, this is the last "changed" card we will preview before moving on to sharing the rare cards with you next week, culminating in the reveal of the URs. That's not to say there aren't other cards that have changed, but we tried to highlight some of the bigger ones.

I'm extremely ok with this nerf. The old version had a bit too much versatility and splash potential.

I agree with KtD, I don’t mind this nerf. It’s not as stunningly different as the change to Negev Lions.

The first posts are in the correct order.  So for phase 1 you just put them in that order.

Will the Ultra Rare cards be revealed today or tomorrow??

Might want to pre order an ultra rare set very soon , but would be  nice to know what they look like before ordering.... (similar to Fall of Man set ,where everyone knew what the Ultra rares were before pre orders ended)

I think you just gave a hint there :)  It could be the first card shown on this thread when it started, or whichever one is numbered 1...(Just me thinking about what you said there)

I had to double check to be sure, but the UR I get to show later is not card 1. Here's the next rare card in the set:

I have the distinct pleasure to introduce the first UR of the Prophecies of Christ set.

This card is a very powerful support card sure to see play in a variety of decks, it offers acceleration, reserve access as well as the fabled CBN/Protection combination. It also features amazing Doug Gray art in borderless form for the first time!

Spoiler (hover to show)

Is this card the Chase card of the set? Maybe not, but I still think you'll want to get your hands on one, or maybe two!

We can thank Josh Knitt (Master Q) for updated art on 3 out of 4 Curses in phase 1!

Also, John (Red Dragon Thorn) and I had a lot of fun finding ways to add “3D effects” to several cards, ala Hur of old.

Does that wording mean that Chariot can add Elijah to my teammate's rescue?

Happy to see the change on Elisha. Don't get to peek at the reserve but you get both abilities every time. Looking forward to playing Prophets.

No, add to battle has limitations to "your side of the battle" by game rule. The change means that you cannot add Elisha to battle as a follow up to your own Grapes of Wrath. The Grapes play did work as the card was originally previewed. Not really something we want. Fortunately we caught it while testing.

I'm glad Chariots of Fire is a rare. Makes it easier to get that way! :) Plus, it combos with The Second Coming so you can use it twice!

Though I will say it would've probably been better as an UR for the sake of Booster Draft as it is basically SoG without needing souls on the table, I am also glad it won't be super expensive since I plan on making a prophets deck that utilizes it.

I'd also contend that in a deck that uses CoF you'd be better off using TSC to grab AotL or Grapes again so you're not down two Heroes. But that's where CoF's game-to-game flexibility will come in, and I love that it's more strategic than just "slap SoG on a problem soul and use TSC to get SoG back".
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

The card I am most excited about previewing is the second of three Ultra Rares in Phase 1 and is a card that saw significant changes since it was previewed initially. This will be the second Dual Alignment Dominant and will likely serve as the primary chase card for the Prophecies of Christ Phase 1 if not the whole set. I give you the new and improved DoN!
