Once the new image is posted, anyone can get the link from the first post and put them together. Here's John's spoiler and the old version.

They were side by side in my preview, but appearance on the board may depend on resolution and monitor size.

Definitely a better version of Lion’s Den.

Definitely a better version of Lion’s Den.
It felt a little strange that it didn’t do anything with Persians before. I like where it ended up.

This next preview comes directly as a result of community feedback.

To some, the Terrifying Beast was a bit too terrifying. We have toned him down just a bit but still left him with a few teeth.

And to double down on spoilers, I present to you the original and now updated version of a fantastic new card to pump the Jonah theme. The GE side got a bit of a power boost while the EC side got a small tweak to give it a more balanced downside to setting a Hero aside.

I like these tweaks. Gives a bit more flavor to the GE, and the EC feels a lot better than "chump block three times, then negate in territory when they start coming back". Especially fun to block with it, shuffle, then use it as a good battlewinner.

Terrifying Beast is still terrifying, especially since the combination of hand protection and protecting heroes in territory (both more and more common abilities) make it still possibly a CBN battlewinner (and discard is better than underdeck a lot of the time). Definitely something to be wary of.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

I'm a little sad to see Terry go down in power especially with how much the tweak affects his usefulness in a hand control deck. It was definitely extremely powerful before but the Entrapping Pharisee exists and doesn't seem to need the added underdeck option

Question on Necromancers:

Has play-testing seen complications with when the ability is negated and abilities being cascade negated?  Similar to exchange abilities, I feel like this would fall more under the CBI realm than CBP, but also realize that a CBI discard bottom card of deck is pretty powerful.

Thoughts?

IIRC it started out as CBI but that might have made any ability it copied CBI which we felt was too strong so it was changed to CBP.

This is correct.  It did start out as CBI, but then it was pointed out that the copied ability would also be CBI, which would be bad for "autoblock" characters like Emp Claudius, Emim, Orpah, Outsiders (Gold/Black), etc.  There's a reason autoblock ECs are only given CBP, if anything, and not CBI/CBN.

Has play-testing seen complications with when the ability is negated and abilities being cascade negated?

Technically, there would be no cascade-negate if Necromancers is negated.  Necromancer did not activate the banished EC's ability (such as by banding), it was copied.  So it basically becomes a part of Necromancer's ability.

As was previously mentioned, we've updated jackals so it's no longer an auto-block against a lone hero:

With the old ability, if it died by numbers as part of battle resolution wouldn't the Soul still get rescued as part of battle resolution even if the Hero died afterward?

Based on the order of battle resolution, I think it was determined that the Hero would be discarded before the LS could be rescued.

Trappers are limited to human Heroes in battle and also do not band.

Entrapping also requires you to have a N.T. gray card in hand to capture the Hero. Entrapping also does not target ECs. Capture is also easily and readily protected against. Entrapping also cannot be added to battle via Gates of Hell (Unknown Nation, sure; but that's easier to deal with).

Also keep in mind context: Entrapping was often considered one of if not the most powerful ECs in the heyday of TexP and Di thanks to the dominance of Pharisee defenses and prevalent hand-protection in top decks (4DC and Simon Zealot being everywhere). Such is not the case now, so Entrapping is not the monster it once was.

-If it's not clear, I welcome this change with much thanks (more for booster than anything). It's still quite the beast for a Roman defense. It's just not as good splashed (which I think is for the best).

Based on the order of battle resolution, I think it was determined that the Hero would be discarded before the LS could be rescued.

To expand on Guardian's answer, we've long ruled that Hormah and Bearing Bad News can stop rescues if an EC is discarded in battle resolution, meaning they have to trigger before you determine the result of the rescue attempt. Jackals should trigger at the same point, which would result in the somewhat rare dual defeat.

This nerf I'm actually ok with. A draw X limit 3 ability is enough for a card to see play within it's archetype and the nerfed ability still forces the opponent down a card, probably a card they could have used in this battle.

Sometimes a card doesn't need an ability change as much as an ability clarification. The newly worded Zechariah is much more clear than it's previous iteration. He also has a cool descriptor with his name as well.

Relevant question for Zechariah:  Does Ezekiel meet the "other Temple priest" requirement for negating enhancements?  I assume no, but I want the answer to be yes   ;)

Jeremiah is!
He's still a major prophet, though, so he can't fulfill Zech by himself. Also he negates the protect ability on Caves, so don't attack with him against Babs.

...that's another card I'm hoping to see in phase 2, along with Elijah.

Is Ezekiel a Temple Priest?  ::)

If the definition of Solomon's Temple Priest includes anyone who served as a priest in Solomon's temple at any point in their life, then depending on when Ezekiel began priesthood, he may very well have been a Solomon's Temple Priest, if only for a short time.

Agree.  In fact, Animals now have two characters that can -1 your opponent' hand and +3 yourself.  And their "Draw X" abilities count an overlapping subset of characters.
