WELCOME TO THE FINAL DAY OF PHASE 1 PREVIEWS!!!
Prophecies of Christ... they are found all over the old testament, starting in the opening pages of Genesis, clear through the last book of the Old Testament. The prophets, both major and minor are full of them. This last group of cards we show you today is going to focus in on some of the men who delivered several of those prophecies!

The diversity of this first card has been amazing for me. Rather I'm protecting Lost Souls from chump blocks, limiting my opponent's evil banding targets or keeping my own Heroes safe, there always seems to be a target for his protection. And in the event my opponent has Gomer or another evil banding female I get a huge bonus!

Spoiler (hover to show)

This is by far one of my favorite Heroes to push into battle. His ability to cycle through the deck is amazing!

I have really enjoyed playing with both of these guys. Love the tie in with the people they prophesied to.

Minor prophets seem to be a pretty decent theme this year. I'm looking forward to playing with them!

I like Micah's hand extending out. It almost seems like he's gesturing toward the icon box. "Behold my numbers. I am no longer 8/2, but 6/7!"

Is it still on track for a mid-November release?

That will depend in part on the printer and Cactus' staffing for packing the cards. Our plan is to have the final cards to Rob before the end of the month.

We’re working through the wording on Zach. My preference is that he negated 2 different things independent of each other based on the other character(s). That’s how I thought he worked but I see how the language we have makes that debatable.

Continuing with prophecy from this book I have a couple evil enhancements to share. Here’s the first one.

You'll notice in our previews today that the Majority of the Minor Prophets get stronger when played together, or when paired with specific civilizations, sometimes both! If you're not careful when your opponent has this guy is on the table, you could find your draws putting you at a disadvantage instead of an advantage

The Ram in the Thicket.

You may place this card on a site: During a RA at that Site , you may add this card to battle.

I like the idea that this character can be added to battle anytime during a RA while it is on a site.
However I am not really sure if this card would be used that often , as it requires a RA on that specific site ( to which ever site it was placed on) to use the second ability. (Unless the ability can be used in type 1 more often than I think)

Also not sure if such special abilities would be really used that often nowadays as it is limited to that one site.  (especially in type 2)

Maybe  the special ability could be like this:

If your Isaac is discarded , discard this card instead. You may place this card on a site: During a rescue attempt you may add this card to battle.
                                                                            or
If your Isaac is discarded , discard this card instead. You may place this card on a site. If you do , during a rescue attempt you may add this card to battle.

Reasons I think this change would be not too strong of an ability to add to battle anytime while on a site:

-  Seems like to me , players are not using too many sites or no sites at all in their decks that often.

- You have to place this character on a site to even have the option to use the add to battle ability.

- Would not limit it's add to battle effect to that just one site , which is possible the opponent (s) may not choose to make an RA at that site for most of the game or not at all.

- Would make it more playable  in Type 2 games where it is rescuer's choice rule

-  It is unique character , so players can only have 1 copy out at a time

- Has a toughness of 3 , so in terms of numbers it is not overpowered

If The Ram in the Thicket's ability could be changed to the special ability that was suggested ( or something similar) I think it would probably be used more often and would be cool small battle extender for the crimson animal theme.

This is just my intake on it.

Does anyone else have any thoughts or opinions on this??

The game has been flooded with site access cards the past few sets. Ends of the Earth is the chief among these cards and is a staple in every competitive deck. Therefore, I feel Ram’s ability is just fine the way it is. Remember: if your opponent has site access or is the same color as the site YOU choose which lost soul is being rescued, not him, so it can still count as a rescue at that site.

I agree The Ram isn't good in T2, but I think it's where we want it in T1. It potentially forces the attacker to choose between using Ends for it's ability and having to deal with its battle extension.

Unless I miscounted, I am counting 125 spoiled cards.  We are still missing Tyler's T2 2P winner card, and obviously any other special cards (probably ultra-rares).

My check list indicates that we have spoiled all but 1 card from phase 1. Tyler's T2 winner card is in phase 2 so we won't see that for a while still. With things constantly in motion it's possible that I've overlooked a card or two as we spoil things. The 1 unspoiled card that I have record of is something I was schedule to spoil on Thursday. We were still debating whether or not to make a change to it, or to push it to phase 2 for further testing. We think it's in a good place now so it'll be part of phase 1.

We've finalized rarity and card numbering. Adding that information to the cards is still a work in process. There's a discussion underway about specifics of packaging and distribution. Once some things are settled there you can expect us to reveal the ultra rares.

Here's the card I didn't spoil late on Thursday.

Awesome card.

Why would t it just be “or deck if your high priest is in play”. Not sure where X would ever matter beyond that.

Could have to do with prior versions, but figured I would ask.

or deck if X is at least 1

It's not ideal, but it's because of spacing.

Covenant of Eden and Lost Soul (Orphans) are misidentified as Phase 2.

If it hasn't been said, the 2 cards from the poster (The Emmaus Road and Moses, Friend of God) are Phase 1, and they're not on the list.

I think that accounts for the missing cards.

As I've watched the spoilers unfold I've been kind of curious about something...

Was the set originally intended to have a large number of reprints or is that just something that kind of spontaneously happened during the process?

This isn't a bad thing I was just curious! I'm surprised the set wasn't given a name reflecting it's Prophets 2.0 type nature.

I also thought it was interesting that a large number of reprints in this set are straight up upgrades to previous versions. Such as the new King David and Book of Covenant, in comparison to reprinting a card but making the ability different than the previous version, like with the new Jacobs Ladder, ect.

Irrational Rage   X = # of evil Persians you control.

Set aside a character for 1 turn ( or upto X characters for X turns if used by a blocking Persian).

For Type 2 feel like this card might be too strong. Can have 4 copies in a deck which can set aside a lot of characters.

At some point a type 2 player might be able to set aside up to 7 characters for 7 turns.

Maybe it could be similar to "He is Risen"  were you have to set aside X characters for X turns (removing the upto part) therefore by the time a player uses a 2nd or 3rd copy of it they might end up having to set aside their own characters.

This could possibly balance it in terms of power level this card could have in Type 2 games.

But on the other hand maybe that is why the X part is included in the strength, so it could transfer initiative and opponent would be able to negate it in battle somehow.

Any other thoughts or opinions on this card??

Rarities have been determined. Cards have been numbered. We're in the final stages of proofing the images to ensure everything is perfect.

A number of cards have undergone significant changes since we first previewed them. Today we're going to share a few of those with you.

David had his star ability changes. This version might fit better in decks that don't necessarily want either of the CoW Davids.
