I'm really liking this set more and more...lots of thematic, niche, and balanced cards, with CBP/CBI/CBN used very selectively. The overall game's power creep doesn't seem like it will increase by too much with this set.

I see an alternate Flood survivor build with Ark of Salvation, but not exactly a Nationals placing one.  ;)

My impression is that it's less for full flood decks than for a 12 Gates deck or something. Making Japheth's Wife, one of the best flood survivors, basically useless is not ideal for a full flood deck, but having it in a deck with Noah, Shem, and Japheth in addition to the Abraham package and maybe some Joseph cards isn't the worst thing ever.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

Seems like a 12 Gates but it is in the set aside area.  Also it would protect your heroes in territory from neutral cards as well ( Like the shame Lost Soul etc)

New Covenant SA: Convert an evil human. Return this card to hand after battle.

Has a Ezekiel reference on it.

This card would be CBN on Ezekiel , Michael and a few teal priests and it would return to hand after battle and can be used multiple times on these characters every battle phase.

It this considered too strong or is the power level of this card okay for the game??

Yeah that’s how I see it too.  Also has the benefit of the blue covenant activation and genesis reference which might sometimes be useful.

The last spoiler of the day is a very nice capture card that punishes the opponent the more good brigades they have in battles as well as giving a nice little extra fortress/site hate effect if it is played on a Babylonian. Enjoy...

So far spoilers are great! You guys are doing a great job! I will say one thing...

I really don't like how you guys are using parentheses in the abilities. In most card games parentheses are used as clarifying text. A few of these new cards are using parentheses in the place of "or" and "and". It's confusing on the first read, especially considering parentheses have never been used like this in previous sets.

Like on the card Red Dragonthorn just spoiled, the parentheses are unnecessary, if anything, adding them makes the ability somewhat confusing instead of crystal clear.

Cards like Fishers of Men and Gideon's Call from I/J are examples of how we've been using parenthesis like that for a long time. It might go back before I/J, but those are the first examples on the new card face. If you search you'll find many others. I can't speak for the other cards games you're familiar with, but Redemption players seem to get it OK.

Sorry, Gabe you are correct! Actually, I was snooping around and I noticed some cards use parentheses this way as far back as Priests! Crazy!

I will still keep my comment as is. I still don't like how parentheses are used though. At least in context with some of the recent cards spoiled.

Let's look at Fishers of Men for example.
Quote
Reveal the top 3 cards of opponent’s deck (or top 9 if used by a Disciple); put the revealed Lost Souls in opponent’s territory and underdeck the rest.

The way it is used in Fishers of Men is very clear. The parentheses on this card are used as a way to make the "instead" of the card extra clear. The abilities are separated very clearly and both state what they do.

Zach says...
Quote
If you control another minor prophet negate characters (and enhancements if you control another temple priest) in battle (except star cards).

The reason Zach is so unclear is because it's hard to tell if the ability is connected to the previous ability or if it is a second separated ability. Depending on the interpretation of what the card does... it would be much more clear if it instead said...

"If you control another minor prophet negate characters in battle. Negate enhancements in battle if you control another temple priest (except star cards)."

or...

"If you control another minor prophet and temple priest; negate characters and enhancements in battle (except star cards)."

I do appreciate that you guys are trying to become more consistent with wording on cards but "Redemption" language can become confusing when it breaks from formal English traditions. If I have to dig in the rules or read a card multiple times to figure out what a card does that isn't a good thing. If that means making the special ability a little longer, I think it's worth it.

I think Denarius from Disciples has a photo for its art. Still, it doesn't happen that often.

Spoiler (hover to show)

I like this card.  Quite strong yet simple.  Good job, Brian (although I know it isn't exactly what you designed).

May I propose something to the elder team and community.  A few months ago I was thinking of card ideas when I thought about Spiritual Gifts from 1 Corin. 12.  There are several kinds, and I thought it would be pretty cool to create these gifts in the same fashion as the Armor of God and Fruit of the Spirit cards.  These cards could also help bring back The Holy Spirit dominant in some decks as all, or some of them, would be tied to THS card.

One of the gifts is Faith (verse 9).  After seeing Brian's, I was thinking that if the elder team had already thought of the Spiritual Gifts being introduced in a future set, this card could be considered one of them. If Spiritual Gifts is already in the plans for a future expansion, or if my proposal sparks inspiration for them to be in a future expansion, perhaps this Faith card could have the identifier "Spiritual Gift" as a herald to those cards.

We've used a number of public domain photographs, usually we run them through one or more filters to make them appear like a painting.

I think that the parens are good on certain cards, but some it's not necessary. In fact, my reading of Zechariah (that the priest part only works if the prophet part is active) would likely have not been possible if it had been written without parentheses.

Sorry! Work was crazy!

Here's today's last two spoilers!

Spoiler (hover to show)

Spoiler (hover to show)

Mighty Men is the perfect example of a great card- One powerful ability that can be negated complimented by a secondary powerful ability that can be negated, while at the same time presenting the controller with a choice of which of two secondary abilities to use. Very nice!

Scattered Sheep is a Scattered clone poorly veiled in sheep's clothing. Not even mentioning black's "Abandonment", but why does gray need two "Scattered"s? Is the thought that this will replace Scattered in gray decks? Because I'm pretty sure we already all know the answer to that. I'd much prefer some other bonus if two or more Heroes are in battle rather than just another CBN tack-on. See "No Straw" for an example of this (if I'm remembering right).

x2 Faith o' David? Great... :P

Very solid. Though I'd prefer it to be worded more like Consider the Lilies ("You may exchange this card with a Cloud card from deck, discard pile or Reserve: Take that card." so it's a bit more balanced for the Reserve search, or even have it banish itself when it goes to discard so Daniel can't grab it again. Either way, cool creation- feels like CoW is finally complete.
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

The Messiah is coming! Our focus over the next 3 sets is all about Christ - He is Prophet, Priest and King! Our focus this year is on the Prophecies related to his coming, it is only appropriate that we have a card that calls out the fact that we have a coming prophet
