A number of cards have undergone significant changes since we first previewed them. Today we're going to share a few of those with you.

David had his star ability changes. This version might fit better in decks that don't necessarily want either of the CoW Davids.

Well you certainly replaced a good card with another good card. Very happy to see you get the enhancement before the underdeck.

We preview these cards early to see what your reactions are. Sometimes it's things we've already considered, but sometimes on cards like Hannah, we're able to take feedback into account.

We didn't want Hannah to have a search, or a band for Samuel, because then she just becomes an extension of the popular "Throne" decks, which is why she was initially previewed without one. However, after going back to the drawing board we were found the solution above which provides tension between keeping Samuel around, or getting a benefit for a rescue

One thing I could see causing some questions...

David is drawn during a normal game draw (at the start of the turn) and the player plays him via the * ability to gain another brigade. He later ends up back in the deck where he then gets searched out by RoA Samuel. Because he was not put in play by the * ability, he will not get to gain an additional brigade this second time.

Speaking to the community in general, do you feel that will be easy enough to explain to a newer/inexperienced player? We're not making any plans to change it as we think it's very fitting, but interested in hearing feedback.

I obviously have the advantage of (mostly) knowing the rules, but I think it's easy enough to understand that cards reset to face value when they hit deck, discard, or hand. Beyond that it's just a question of understanding star mechanics, and in that matter this is no more or less complex than any other star card.

It's no different than shuffling a converted character back into a deck. the only difference is that david basically converts himself. I agree with Bobbert, as long as the star mechanic is understood, there should be little confusion.

I agree with the other comments here.

Based on my current understanding of the Star mechanic, I would focus this example on the fact that revealing a card (as with the Star mechanic) is different than playing a card, even though both allow all players to see the card.  With David, the mechanic just happens to be that he is then played. However, if he has already been put in play (as in Samuel’s ability) then he cannot be revealed via Star mechanics.

I would just like to point out that mighty men can band to Samuel then Samuel can band to Hannah for an up to draw 16 (just for an 8 card hand limit)!

Mighty Men has to choose between banding or revealing/drawing, so it would only be a draw 9 (assuming you get the 2 off Sam).

Samuel has always had crazy bands since he was printed in 2011 via the infamous Sam/Armorbearor/Ishmaiah band.  And of course, the 2016 special, Sam/Saul/Abby/David.

Ishmaiah/Mighty Men could replace this, except Cascade Negate is still a rule

any info on rarity of cards in the new set , what the ultra rare cards are , release date , other cards that come in the booster pack etc??

We’re just as excited as you to share all that information! Right now I don’t have anything official for the release date, just a guess of late November. I’m not sure a final decision has been made for the 10 old cards either.

There’s still a discussion underway that needs to wrap up before we can share the URs.

Rarities have been determined and we will be rolling that out to you a little bit at a time along with some of the changes. Our preview process has been out of commission for a couple days due to an error on my part. We should be back online again tomorrow.

Per RedemptionAggie those are the two remaining cards. Moses is probably an ultra rare.
