Wanting to get started with RTS

Hello,

I just bought the 10 anniversary starter pack. I have not found anyone that wants to play. I have downloaded and successfully installed RTS and built the G and H decks for my starter pack into the game. I would like to play some one online. I don't have a static IP but it hardly changes if at all so I would be able to host. Could someone tell me the protocol to get a game started. I am available on most Fridays and also on Saturday evenings.

Thanks,

jerry

As for checking for games: There is a trumpet shout box on the main message board page.  Typically, people type "LFG" (Looking for Game) to see if anyone is interested.

Way to connect:
1. Redemption Connect website:  This is the easiest way to connect for a game but it is currently down right now.

2. Hamachi is another way to connect and was once the main way to connect with people until "RedemptionConnect" came out.  Recently, people have needed Hamachi because last week "Redemption Connect" site crashed because of server issues.

I hope you are able to connect online soon because it is a good way to practice and enjoy the game of Redemption.  Be sure to let people know that you are new to the game (which means they hopefully will not play their best decks against your starter deck.)  Welcome to the boards and game!

Yes welcome to the game but I would use the rts to explore all the cards in the game and begin putting together themes for ur offense and defense then as u play more u will see what cards to buy to add to ur collection for the type of deck u want build

Defensive themes would be things like

Babylonians
Egyptians
Demons
Philistines
Assyrians
Persians
Sadducees
Pharisees
Ect...

Offense would be
Prophets
Disciples
Good priests
Red (fight by the numbers)
Royalty
Genesis

I would suggest starting with disciples
They are pretty competitive and not super difficult to play and learn the game with

A pretty simple defense to run is Egyptians they do a lot of capturing, have decent banding and drawing abilities
