Redemption?!?

A friend I have at college saw us playing and said "Redemption?  I have that!"  Turns out she meant this:

Box

Cards/Pieces.

What exactly is this?  I know Cactus doesn't sell it anymore, but it looks like the board game version of Redemption.  The pieces look like they're from Solomon's Temple, but it's certainly not that.

Hotlinked from my gmail, you probably can't see them because you're not logged into my gmail.

Fixed.

It is a board game that uses the Redemption art and logo, but I do not believe it is played like the card game at all.

It has a couple similarities to the card game but there are more differences than similarities (for example, it uses dice for the battle sequence). While the Redemption card game is much more fun IMO, City of Bondage is not a bad alternative if you want to change things up for a game night or something.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

My younger family members love the game. It is more of a game of chance, but those that don't like the gruel of strategy really enjoy it.
Now that we're a family, I can be the ulll-timate DAD.

It was published by Talicor in 1996 and designed by Rob Anderson and the amazing Richard Borg.

From playing it multiple times after winning it at a game night, I have found:
It is confusing
Dull
Time-consuming

but I could never get enough of it.
I probably have played 20 games over the years.
Retired?
