if i was to play a multiplayer game can i build churches in the same city that my opponents have one built?

I believe you both can develop cell groups in a certain city, but once you have a church established no one else can build.  At least, that's the way I remember it.  It's been a long time since I've played.

Yeah, you can build churches in the same city.
