So anyone else on here ever play, or currently playing, A Game of Thrones Living Card Game? I'd recommend anyone to give it a try, as it's one of the best card games out there. I actually enjoy it over Redemption, although that is blasphemy right?  ;)

Now, to explain the LCG part to those who are not familiar with it. AGOT was a CCG until fall of last year, until the company switched it over to a LCG format. Basically they dropped the "collectible" part and made everything available in predetermined packages. The core set comes with decks for 4 of the houses ("brigades" in Redemption speak), with chapter packs released about once a month. The chapter packs come with 40 cards each, 10 cards with x3 copies, and 10 cards with x1 copies. The benefit of this is of course a lot less money required to chase down full sets. At this time there are still a few "kinks" in the format, mostly due to the somewhat limited card pool (which is growing every month of course) and some synergy between the older cards and the new, which is something that is getting better with time.

So yeah, recommend anyone interested to give it a shot, the core set cost about $35-40 dollars and is enough for four players to get started.

p.s. If anyone in the Northwest is interested in learning to play, let me know and I'll bring some to the state or regional tourneys.
