In the game, of the three players, two are teammates and the other is against them, but no one knows the others' loyalty. Everyone is building up their golems for battle, and trying to mess up their opponents' without hurting their teammate. After the first phase, there is a 2 vs 1 combat that determines which side reigns victorious.
There's also a 2-player variant of the game that distills the game to just the combat portion of the game, although the 3-player version is where it really shines. The game has had extensive playtesting, and I'd love for people to try it out for themselves. If you like other hidden identity games (Bang, Shadow Hunters, Battlestar Galactica, etc.) but want some more strategy and an under-control game length, I highly recommend The Golems of Ymhet.
