Other CCG Help

I would like to learn how to play yugioh, pokemon, and MTG (not collect just learn). Would anyone be willing to help me? I am going to be at North Central Regionals in MN and Nationals in Boston. I would prefer FTF but if no one that can teach me will be there than I will have to resort to pms. Also if any one plays Lord of the Ring CCG and is going to be at Nationals bring a deck/cards and we can trade or play.
I am just curious as to how the other card games work in comparison with redemption.

MTG: Whoever is better at offending the conservative christians win. Listening to Dream Evil while using my leet Black Lotus has given me a win percentage of 9001%.
Pokemons: Whoever's cards look cooler wins. I use to have tons of pokemon cards....
Yugioh: Get in a fight then settle it like a man. By throwing cards at each other.

Well i have never been actually played at a tournament so I use what ever I can find, and I don't own very many of the new sites so you will have to provide those. My decks usually consist of the Newer cards.. I might have to go through an ex list and take stuff out of my deck.. cuz I likes the broken cards (keyward, lol). But yah I would like to play you, I think we met at Natz in KC.

Yeah we did meet at the KC nats. Also btw Bryon Hake and another California player who is coming to nats also play Lotr a bit.

I use cards mostly from sets 1-9 and if I feel like using new cards I also use cards from sets 11 and 13. I frown at people who use cards past set 13 so if you do use any cards from sets 15 and up you will most likely see me make a those cards are uber op'd face :p So I assume you play expanded then? Where you use cards from all of the sets?

In our group we just use any kind of sites so you can use Fellowship Site, Rotk sites, TTT sites and Shadows sites all in the same site path. And if you did follow the EX'd list that would be welcome :p

Okay I will take a look at the x list... Some of my decks don't use many new cards any ways most of them are not op, at least I think I haven't touched my cards in a while so I will give it a look and try not to use the broken cards. Thanks.

I can play yugioh, unfortunately I won't be coming to nationals, and I don't think I'll be going to regionals (but I will defiantly bring some yugioh decks if I do and tell you I'm coming).

I know how to play MTG, but at the moment I only have 4 cards (all of which are basic lands) so I won't be able to actually play.

Yugioh is fairly simple to learn (at least for the basics anyway) and I'd love to teach you if I get a chance
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.

I haven't played YGO in ages so I'm not sure what the meta is like anymore, and they came out with a whole new summon method since.... so yeah. I'll bring my cards to regionals though if you'd like. I'll do what I can to bring them to nationals also, I'm trying to keep my luggage to one back so we'll see.

MTG is the best I think. I've been playing it for a long time. And I'm up to date on the new rules and what not.

ok.
to be in a topic like this doesn't come everyday.
i have a bit of an announcement to make.
as of two weeks ago, i have returned to the card game that lead me into redemption in the first place; Yu-Gi-Oh!
i got back in the game when i was watching others play it and i felt the need to return to the game and so i got a structure deck and a collector's tin and im currently trying to get used to the whole "tributing to special summon" and i've gotten the "synchro summoning" down.
as soon as i can, i MIGHT post my yugioh deck if im allowed to.

Pretty sure that is where you pay a cost to lay down a huge monster that has over 4 or five fireballs. I think you have to sacrifice a couple of your guys.

If memory serves me right, 1-4 stars can be placed down without a sacrifice, 5-6 stars needs one sacrifice, 7+ stars require two sacrifices.  YGO is a type of game where you are limited in what you can put down (five summons, five magic/trap cards/one envirement card).  Its not that hard to learn (and not as complicated as Battletech (which is the third CCG that I know how to play)).

But wayyyy broken compared to Redemption. Redemption doesn't have a one best deck like YGO has/had.

Yes it does lol There have always been at least 1-2 very popular broken/overpowered decks floating around that 75%+ of the top players use.

Look at 2009 nats' top 3 decks. Only one TGT and it was the strongest deck in the meta. A tier 2 deck(Ztemp) got third and teal/green got 2nd. None of those save TGT were tier 1.

Top 3 all had teal in them /arguement.
