Dear Cactus (And All Forum Readers Out There),
I have a few ideas for future Redemption TCG releases. Here they are:

A New Starter Deck
Would love that.
A New Template Design
Sure. I love new things. :D
A Funny Card Set (Laughter Is The Best Medicine Is A Good Title)
I would probably say no to this.
Playmats in starters and/or Tournament Prizes
That would be great.
Nationals 2010 in Atlanta (PLEASE!!)
California again!!!! But since this won't happen, whether it's Atlanta or anywhere else I'll probably have the same difficulty in attending.
Cards Based On The Apochrypha Bible (I think That's How It's Spelled)

Yes, Apocrypha is spelled correctly. And while I'm not Catholic, I wouldn't complain if cards based on the Apocrypha were included.

Cards Based On Christian Fiction and Movies (Such as Narnia, The Circle Trilogy or Archangels. THE COMIC BOOKS!!!)
I wouldn't mind this, either.
Cards Based On Martyrs For Christianity
I wouldn't mind this.
Redemption Themed Deck Protectors
Yes again.
A Way To Sell Them In Stores Like Wal-Mart
Probably won't happen, and probably not necessary. Just request them at your local Christian bookstore.

He he....... Those were just some of my ideas. Thanks For Reading!

I just have one thing to add. More than one expansion per year. :D

Dear Cactus (And All Forum Readers Out There),
I have a few ideas for future Redemption TCG releases. Here they are:
A New Starter Deck    Looking forward to this one
A New Template Design    It'd be ok I guess....
A Funny Card Set (Laughter Is The Best Medicine Is A Good Title)    No
Playmats in starters and/or Tournament Prizes    Starters: Yes. Prizes: No
Nationals 2010 in Atlanta (PLEASE!!)    NO. Absolutely not.
Cards Based On The Apochrypha Bible (I think That's How It's Spelled)    It'd be ok, no strong feelings one way or another.
Cards Based On Christian Fiction and Movies (Such as Narnia, The Circle Trilogy or Archangels. THE COMIC BOOKS!!!)    No
Cards Based On Martyrs For Christianity    No strong feelings one way or another.
Redemption Themed Deck Protectors    I don't really care.
A Way To Sell Them In Stores Like Wal-Mart    I don't think this is really necessary. Most areas big enough to have a Wal-Mart usually will have a Christian Bookstore, just request them there.

He he....... Those were just some of my ideas. Thanks For Reading!

Warrior: Yes! I have seen Warriors cards. In fact, I have a complete set of them. (HA!) I meant a said based off of the comics.
Playmats Issue: Like VS System, Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh! do or did, they released Playmats as prizes. And some come in starter sets.
Nationals In Atlanta: I am so mad I have never been to a tournament at National level and all of them have been too far away to go to them
Apochrypha: I am not Catholic, but this idea is using the bible and using them as scriptures. (Who wants Judas Macabbes?!?!?)

I think Redemption should improve their brigade system. I think Redemption should expand them so that Pharisees, Philistines, and Greeks don't all share a common colour. I think every type should have its own brigade colour.

That is never going to happen. If it ever were, it would have started long ago, but now it's too late.

Most types do.

Priests - teal
Angels - silver
NT Tomb Ladies - white
OT Musicians - white
technically, Daniel - white
OT David's Warriors - red
OT judges - gold
NT Luke/John - gold
prophets - green
Genesis - blue
royalty - purple
OT Philistines - black
NT Sadducees - black
NT Greeks - black
OT Syrians - gray
NT Pharisees - gray
OT Babylonians - crimson
OT Egyptians - gold
NT Herods - gold
OT Assyrians - pale
OT Evil Israelites - brown
demons - orange

It's not foolproof, and yes, some brigades have several themes, but several have only one major theme and several have only an OT and a NT theme.  Of course, there are lots of cards that don't fit those themes, but it's about going in a direction over a period of years.  There's not much you can do about that now, but my point is, we're already sort of doing what you're talking about.

General comments;

1) I would love to see cards based on figures from church history. It won't happen, but I'd love it.

2) So, how about a Redemption-engine card game based on figures from church history? Same basic game play, but different era/theme. And don't allow crossovers.

3) New starter: In favor, but like the last ones the starter sets should contain characters familiar to the average player. (No reruns of the E/F decks, please.) Also needs to somehow include Lost Souls, maybe as a bonus card, since it isn't available elsewhere.

4) If you want a funny card set, that means it's time for me to get to work again. Perhaps more cards for the "Plants of the Bible" expansion.

5) And Nationals in New Jersey would be a total win! But Rob would never consider playing them here (not without some sort of large bribe or something.)  ;D

I don't know how feasible this would be, but maybe we could have a reprint set (similar to what they do in Magic: The Gathering to where they re-release the core set every two years but with more cards, the cards they want to keep legal for tournament play -- and this would be on top of the new expansion), and in this new "core set", maybe they could tighten some of these new mechanics that have been developed over the years (for instance, reprinting all demons as orange brigade, all priests as teal brigade, all Egyptians as gold, etc). That might help some strategies become more viable (for instance, I've always wanted the Apostles to be in one brigade so that I could make a true Apostles deck, and I've always wanted the plagues to be printed in one brigade -- I've never seen why they had to be split up amongst brigades (especially since Moses, with God's power, was the instigator of these plagues -- why not make them all gold?)).

Anyway, just more of my two cents. :P

Like most games, a total reboot to catch the game up to its current rules and classifications would clean it up considerably. In the process, though, a lot of cards would become no longer legal for tournament play. This would go against Cactus' long-standing practice, make the odler expansions (of which many are still in print) invalid, and wipe out the playing value of older collections. Yes, Magic does this, but that's one of the reasons I barely play. I bought in to one particular theme (Time Spiral), and quite frankly don't want to keep up the mass of new stuff. So I stick with Redemption, where even my ancient 4/4 heroes are legal, and occasionally have value today (Judges Seat, anyone?).

Now, if Cactus were to take the current iteration of the Redemption rules and apply them to a brand new game that could be started from scratch (like, say, a game based on historical characters from church history after Bible times  ;) ), I could go for that.

reprinting all demons as orange brigade

A bunch of the most popular were reprinted in Priests.

Quote
all priests as teal brigade

Done in Priests.

Quote
all Egyptians as gold

Done; as far as I know, they were in Gold from the get-go.

Quote
Moses, with God's power, was the instigator of these plagues -- why not make them all gold?

Aaron (in green with the prophets, and with Aaron's Rod) was involved too.

Sure, Aaron was involved too, but to the best of my knowledge (and please correct me if I'm wrong), Aaron was merely Moses' mouthpiece, to get the message across to Pharaoh because Moses wasn't confident enough in his own abilities. It was Moses, himself, that did the miracles and brought the plagues (through God's power), not Aaron.

I am from the "literallists" denomination of Redemption.  I dont mind many of the other ideas but I think that offical cards used in offical tournaments should only be those that come from the Bible.  if you want to make narnia cards, that is fine, I just dont want them to be official cards used in tournaments.

If I had my Druthers I would instantly ban all cards that do not come from the Bible ( In a nod to our catholic bretheren, I would consider the Apocrypha scripture for the purposes of redemption)

This would likely kill all emperor decks which are one of my favorite defenses, but that is a price I am willing to pay to kill off all the angel wars cards I think shouldn't have been made.
