The only real change from Redemption would be that if you use Simon to discard your opponent's Hopefuls, you get to say something really nasty to publicly embarass your opponent at the tournament.

um, I don't think I am "bearing false witness". I didn't make the picture. I don't even host it. It is a Fail picture for goodness sakes. Do you feel the same way about the entire Fail "network"??? THe internet is full of websites about Fail. What is wrong about them? The intent is humor, and I don't understand your intent for being defensive of the pic. :scratch:

There is nothing casual about public humiliation. I'll ask you the same question. If your mother/sister won the opportunity to go on national television and then someone took her image and doctored it to make her look like an idiot, would you then have no problem with fellow Christians passing such an image around the internet to make her the laughingstock of a Christian Message Board?

I'm not sure what you don't understand by "OFF TOPIC." So until you can explain to me why you're not giving this up and going back on topic, then I do not feel inclined to answer your question.

all car games are hass-beens except for redemption and games like it.
lotr tcg is a great game as my experiance in the tutorial but it's also a hasbeen and hopefully CoN will have it's own tcg and i'll be able to play it

I would be glad to. If this woman had been my wife, for example, then I would be furious that fellow Christians found great humor in a doctored image that portrayed my wife as an idiot. The fact that there are hate-filled people in this world that would make the effort to create such an image is a result of a fallen world. The fact that Christians pass it along as "humorous" is a different issue, and one that I will always be vocal about. That woman is definitely someone's daughter, possibly someone's sister, and possibly someone's wife. I ask that you show some respect for someone who was an innocent victim, and their loved ones, by not continuing to transmit such indignity.
With that said, I will honor your request to not post on this thread again unless I am spoken to directly.

Quite honestly, when I saw that picture I laughed but not at the lady. I was laughing at the overall picture. (For all we know, that lady posed for the picture, so I don't understand your outrage.)

It's the "never hit a girl" ethic. I happen to agree with it, though.

I know I might sound "out of line" by saying this, but there is a large difference between the "never hit a girl" ethic and the "let us all be politically correct and make fun of the dumb white males because they don't care" ethic. I agree with the "never hit a girl" ethic because it is inclusive in the realm of chivalry. However, that does not mean that females should rightfully be exempt from all of the joking... something doesn't seem to be right with that picture.
BTW, if someone wants to make a new thread out of this, I would be glad to join it because I don't mean to detract entirely from the topic. (However, I will debate certain moral issues as I see fit.)

Someone Please divide this into another thread. I agree though. When I think of idiocy I don't think of random pictures I've seen. O_o I think of actions I've seen myself. Honestly, I think you are right and wrong. Yes he shouldn't of posted the pic (Let only things that build each other up come from your mouth) but you shouldn't of jumped on him publicaly (If your brother has offended you come to him alone in private.)

I don't watch the show, however my understanding is that the people send the videos in of themselves, so they are choosing to be shown in that light. The show would need their permission.

fwiw, I agree with YMT. If someone doctored a picture of you to make you look like an idot, and everyone on a Christian forum laughed at you for being an idot (when you were not), then I think there would be at least a few of you that would feel sad about that.
I am actually quite frustrated that more of you didn't graciously submit to YMT, and instead blasted him for his compassion. As best I can tell, YMT was acting like Christ would act in this situation. I don't think I can say the same for others of you.

Hmmm... that hurt... I think you misread my posts. I was just checking to verify YMT's reasons for his claims, and they check out just fine for me. :angel: In fact, I sort of agree with his logic. However, while I might have been wrong to laugh at the lady in the picture, I didn't. My humor was not derived from the "stupidity" of any person in the picture, but rather from the picture itself. If that would have been a picture of me, I would have still laughed. I thought that picture was creative and humorous. :-\
I am not willing to laugh at my neighbor unless I would laugh at myself for the same reasons.
